So, with the sale of Endsleigh to Zurich and Carole Nash to Groupama, two more insurers join the 'let's buy a broker' club after Allianz Cornhill also bought Home and Legacy and IAG purchased Hastings during 2006.

Only a year or so after I joined the magazine, Norwich Union (NU) shut down its large, provincial broker Hill House Hammond (HHH) and it seemed the era of brokers being owned by insurers was truly over. Then Allianz Cornhill completed the acquisition of the Home and Legacy Insurance

Brokers upbeat on 2024 growth – Aviva

Brokers are more optimistic about growth in the coming year than they have been since before 2020, according to Aviva, with 83% expecting their business to grow compared to 76% last year.
