Decreasing rates on private medical insurance (PMI) policies could put the long-term future of the sector at risk, according to Groupama Healthcare. The insurance provider has called on the sector to raise rates as long as the costs of care continue to rise, as it warned that any price reduction would require a benefit reduction to ensure that potentially costly claims, common in the PMI sector, could be covered.
