A story came to Polly's attention the other day of a call from a UK broker who had reported a claim to one of our Indian colleagues in a call centre. The jist of the claim was that a car in London had swerved to miss a pedestrian on a zebra crossing and ended up in a hotel foyer.
After 40 minutes explaining what a foyer was and eventually relaying all of the details of the claim, the call was closed with the question "Sorry what is a Zebra?" The broker mused that they obviously don't have access
