Holmes praises Aviva’s UK GI organic growth
The UK GI chief says brokers were key to achieving growth in first half of 2017 along with investment into digital.
Aviva’s UK GI CEO Colm Holmes has praised the “broad organic growth” across the business describing the results for the first half of 2017 as “pleasing”.
As a group Aviva reported increasing profit and improved COR across the GI business.
UK GI results showed growth across the board with operating profit up to £213m (HY 2016: £199m) and underwriting profit increasing from £115m to £135m.
COR improved to 93.2% from 93.9% and GWP also increased to £2.32bn (HY 2016: 2.15bn).
