Axa UK posts 5% revenue growth

COR improves to 97.7%.

Axa UK and Ireland has posted a 5% revenue growth in its general insurance business, according to its financial results for the first six months of 2017.

According to the insurer its GI and healthcare revenues were £2.4bn for the time period, compared to £2.3bn in the first six months of last year.

In addition, its healthcare and GI combined operating ratio (COR) improved slightly to 97.7%, compared to the 98.2% it achieved last year.

The provider further reported underlying earnings of £114m
