Hiscox sees strong growth in the broker channel, says Langan

Hiscox CEO "very pleased" with insurer's financial results for the first half of 2017.

Steve Langan, chief executive officer at Hiscox Insurance, has stated that the provider is “very pleased” with its financial results for the first six months of 2017, after posting a rise in gross written premium.

The insurer’s profit was down compared to last year and Langan explained that this was due to the impact of foreign exchange, noting that excluding foreign exchange losses the company’s profit had increased compared to the first half of 2016.

He added that the business had seen
