Regulator confirms McDermott will leave the organisation on 1 July.

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has announced that Tracey McDermott, acting chief executive, will leave the organisation on 1 July 2016.

McDermott confirmed in early December last year that she had decided to withdraw from the process to appoint a permanent chief executive of the regulator.

In January this year the FCA appointed Andrew Bailey as the new CEO. He will take up the position on 1 July and McDermott will continue as acting CEO until he starts.
