Dear Petrov,

I am sending you our half-year results as well as my comments on the remainder of the year and predictions for 2010.

It is now 12 months since I took over from John and this has been the most traumatic period ever for the financial services industry. The UK economy has declined rapidly since the start of the year dropping 2.4% in the first quarter and activity for the half year is down some 5%. UK corporate

Aviva doubling down for customers, says Martin
