I was disappointed to read the comments in Insurance Age's last edition regarding Goodwill, and the British Insurance Brokers' Association's (Biba) perceived inactivity on this issue.
Biba was heavily involved in challenging the Financial Services Authority (FSA) on Goodwill before the new regulatory regime commenced. Yet despite our protests, the FSA would not yield.
The regulator cited that neither the Insurance Brokers Registration Council regulations, nor Lloyd's' broker rules, permitted
