Gallagher posts 8% revenue rise

Broker also reports increase in net earnings for its broker segment in the first half of 2016.

Arthur J Gallagher has reported net earnings of $180.8m (£137.4m) in its brokerage segment according to its financial results for the first six months of 2016.

This is a 28% rise compared to the $140.9m net earnings it posted for the first half of last year.

According to the results, the broker's revenues for the six month period were $1.76bn, which is an 8% increase from last year's $1.64bn.

Its adjusted Ebitdac came in at $475.7m (H1 2015: $422.3m).
