JLT takes £22m hit to settle Willis legal dispute

The two brokers were due in the High Court this month in a case over a 22 person team lift.

JLT has revealed that it will take a £22m hit in its second quarter results after settling an ongoing legal dispute with Willis.

The case began in April 2015 after JLT appointed David Gordon and Barry Vickery along with 20 former Willis colleagues to its specie, fine arts and jewellery team within JLT Specialty.

Gordon took over the role of CEO for the unit and had been global managing director in the same division at Willis since 2002.
