FCA welcomes NAO report on mis-selling

Regulator says it accepts the findings.

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has welcomed the National Audit Office's report on financial services mis-selling.

According to the report the regulator cannot know whether its activities are reducing the overall scale of financial mis-selling to consumers.

Following the publication of the report, the FCA stated it accepted its findings.

A spokesperson for the FCA said: "The report recognises that the task of reducing mis-selling of financial services cost-effectively is a difficult one
