Abbey Insurance buys Open + Direct
All Open + Direct staff and branches across Northern Ireland to transfer from Swinton to Abbey Insurance.
Abbey Insurance Brokers has purchased Open + Direct from its current owner Swinton Group for an undisclosed sum.
The broker said the deal would greatly expand the company's network of insurance branches and strengthen its position in Northern Ireland.
Established in 1973 in Newtownabbey, Abbey Insurance currently has 220 employees and operates 15 branches across Northern Ireland.
In its latest set of results for the year ended 31 March 2015 Abbey Insurance revealed it had broken through the £10m
