RSA closes Birmingham office

Insurer confirms 190 jobs are under consultation.

RSA is closing its Birmingham office, Insurance Age can reveal.

The insurer confirmed that 190 staff are at risk and under consultation.

RSA stated it would replace the Birmingham office with a commercial trading site, which would continue to serve its local partners and is expected to open in September this year.

One industry expert suggested that any new site would take on 25 staff with up to 175 staff being impacted by the closure.

Another market expert told Insurance Age that redundancies
