Generali boss Greco moves to lead at Zurich

Mario Greco

He replaces former global CEO Martin Senn.

Zurich has appointed Mario Greco as global chief executive officer effective 1 May this year.

Greco succeeds Tom de Swann who has held the role on an interim basis since Martin Senn stepped down in December 2015.

Greco has been CEO of Generali since 2012.

Before that he worked at Zurich where he held various different roles after joining in October 2007 as the designated CEO global life.

He was also previously CEO of general insurance at the provider a role he took on in 2010.
