ABI urges clampdown on CMCs ahead of IPT rise

The average comprehensive motor insurance premium rose slightly in the third quarter of 2015, according to the Association of British Insurers's Quarterly Insurance Premium Tracker.

The survey showed that the average price paid for motor insurance was £379 between July and the end of September, compared to £374 for the preceding quarter.

The ABI further noted that there had been a 5.6% rise in the average premium paid in the year up to this September.
