S&P affirms continued AA- rating for Zurich
Ratings agency says outlook is stable for the insurer following RSA deal exit.
Standard and Poor's has affirmed its AA- insurer financial strength rating on Zurich Insurance.
The company said that the outlook on all the long-term ratings is stable.

The affirmation follows Zurich's announcement of the withdrawal of its offer to buy RSA.
S&P stated: "In our view, this announcement reduces uncertainties regarding potential execution risks, an increase in financial leverage, and a temporary drop in capital adequacy."
