Ian Chapple leaves CIO role at Swinton

Chief information officer set to depart at the end of the year.

Ian Chapple, chief information officer at Swinton Insurance, will leave the firm effective 31 December 2015 to pursue other opportunities, Insurance Age can reveal.

Gilles Normand, CEO of Swinton, commented: "On behalf of the board of Swinton, I would like to express my appreciation to Ian for the work he has done strengthening the IT platform at Swinton.

"We wish him every success with his future endeavours."

Swinton said that a successor will be named in due course.

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
