Older insurance customers want more digital options

Survey by Deloitte also shows younger customers would like to use smartphones for transactions.

Opportunities to use smartphones in general insurance are largely untapped according Deloitte's Insurance Disrupted report.

The report stated that 77% of surveyed customers aged between 25 and 34 would like to use their smartphones for general insurance transactions.

In addition, the survey results showed that it is not only younger customers who are interested in using this technology.

Fifty-seven percent of those over 55 years old also wished to buy insurance using their phones.
