Be Wiser sees falling profit before tax

Be Wiser Insurance Services has reported a drop in profit before tax to £1.75m for the year ended 31 May 2015, according to its financial results.

The broker's profit before tax for the preceding year was £2.18m.

However, the company also reported an increase in turnover to £28.2m from £25.9m in 2014 and it said it had also increased its number of policies over the year from 175,000 in 2014 to 202,000 in 2015.

Be Wiser further stated that its balance sheet net assets were up to £1.75m this year

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
