The British Insurance Brokers' Association and the Insurance Brokers' Standards Council are to work together to create a single voluntary code of conduct and guidance for brokers.

Biba CEO Steve White announced the partnership today (13 May) at the Biba conference in Manchester.

A working party has been set up and it is expected a joint code of conduct will be finalised before the 2016 Biba conference.

Paul Anscombe, IBSC chair and Seventeen Group managing director, pictured, said: "This is a positive step in the standards debate for insurance brokers and I look forward to working with Steve and the team at Biba."
