Revenue flat as profits creep up at Marsh parent
EMEA unit sees 9% drop in revenue with 12% negative currency impact.
Marsh & McLennan has reported revenues of $3.215bn [£2.105bn] for the first quarter of 2015, broadly in line with the $3.264bn achieved in the same period last year.
The global broker delivered profit of $482m for the three months, up from $443m in the first quarter of 2014.
Within the risk and insurance services division, Marsh posted a 2% drop in revenue to $1.43bn but noted that it had a 7% impact from currency rates.
Underlying revenue was up 3% with the impact of acquisitions and disposals
