DVLA and MIB had weekly meetings about MyLicence

Agency confirms no individual insurers were involved in the meetings.

The Driver and Vehicle Agency (DVLA) had weekly meetings with the Motor Insurance Bureau (MIB) and the Association of British Insurers (ABI) ahead of the launch of MyLicence.

DVLA confirmed it had not had any specific meetings about MyLicence with individual insurance companies, according to a Freedom of Information request conducted by Insurance Age.

The agency said it had however "maintained a working relationship with the MIB who have then managed the relationship with individual insurers".
