Government teams up with Marsh on cyber risk

Marsh and the government launch report aiming to make the UK a global hub for cyber insurance.

Marsh and the government have published a report outlining new joint initiatives between the government and the insurance sector to help firms get to grips with cyber risk.

The report was produced in collaboration with the UK's insurance market and a number of top UK companies and aims to make the UK a global centre for cyber security insurance.

According to the paper, 81% of large UK businesses and 60% of small companies suffered a cyber-breach last year and cyber threats are estimated to cost

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
