New MGA targets HNW market

Horizon expects to be a substantial player in the high net worth homeowners' market within three years.

Horizon, a new mid and high net worth managing general agent (MGA), has been launched by former Omega chief executive Richard Pexton.

The MGA is manned by a team from RSA-owned Oak Underwriting and is a coverholder for Lloyd's insurer Brit Global.

Pexton, chairman of Horizon, told Insurance Age that he expects the MGA to become a substantial player in the mid and high net worth homeowners' market within the next two to three years, and that all business will go through small and medium-sized
