Open GI has claimed to be the first to go live on MyLicence, following the launch of the scheme last month.

According to Open GI the first insurer to use the service via Open GI's technology, will be Sabre starting early next year.

Other companies will start using MyLicence, a collaboration between the Motor Insurance Bureau (MIB) and the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) that enables the insurance industry to access customer's driving history data, in 2015.
