PPI complaints fall 50% on last year

PPI still gets most complaints despite drop, but car and motor complaints rise 6%.

Figures from the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) have revealed that the majority of complaints from consumers continue to be about payment protection insurance (PPI).

In its quarterly complaints report, The FOS revealed it received over 157,000 complaints from consumers about financial products between July and September this year, and that 88,803 cases were opened for investigation.
