Markel appoints senior underwriter
Andrew Carter joins the specialist insurer from QBE.
Andrew Carter has joined Markel International as senior underwriter for marine and energy liability.
Carter has previously worked at QBE for 19 years. He most recently held the role of portfolio manager for marine liability.
His responsibilities at Markel will include expanding the company's business in the marine liability, energy liability and ports and terminals classes, together with Chris Fenn and Charles Bragg.
