Arthur J Gallagher reveals Barbon Insurance Group capture
Arthur J Gallagher (AJG) has bought all the property and commercial businesses within Barbon Insurance Group (BIG) for an undisclosed amount.
The deal includes four specialist broking brands Deacon, Farr, Cadogan Keelan Westall and Keelan Westall.
AJG's international managing general agent, OIM Underwriting, has also snapped up Zennor, a specialist managing general agency and wholly-owned subsidiary of BIG.
AJG International CEO, David Ross described the acquisition as a "truly significant deal".
"Since our purchase of Heath Lambert in 2011, we have worked hard to enhance our distribution platform in the UK retail market," he said.
