Deakin reveals broker ambition fuelled Gallagher move
The new UK commercial director of Arthur J Gallagher International (AJGI) Janice Deakin has revealed she is "looking forward to sitting on the other side of the table".
Ms Deakin - who today confirmed she will be ending her 13-year tenure at Aviva - told Insurance Age she will now be fulfilling a career ambition by joining the broker.
Despite acknowledging she had faced a "very difficult decision", Ms Deakin admitted: "I have always said if I could have my time again I would come back as a broker, I am looking forward to sitting on the other side of the table while still seeing the people I have a great relationship with.
