Professionalism: Insurers must support brokers to become chartered
Zurich believes it is important for both insurers and brokers to pursue chartered status as it helps to “drive higher standards”.
Darren Pacey, sales and distribution director at the provider, said insurers need to play a part in encouraging brokers to gain chartered status.
“It doesn’t help people if insurers won’t become chartered,” he claimed.
“We have got to encourage and embrace it, and we have got to bring it to life as well.”
In a recent Insurance Age survey on chartered status both Aviva and LV said they had no intention of pursuing the badge.
