Carole Nash chief satisfied with broker's performance

The chief executive of Carole Nash David Newman has described the broker's 2011 full-year figures as "satisfying" in a "very mature market".

The Altrincham-based broker saw its pre-tax profits edge up to £5.93m (FY 2010: £5.86m) while turnover also crept up to £25m (FY 2010: £23.83m) for the year ended 31 December.

Speaking to Insurance Age magazine, Mr Newman said: "It's a very mature market, we are pleased that we managed to slightly grow our market share last year and modestly push profit on for the shareholder.

"The economy certainly sets the context - it's difficult to get dramatic growth in the market."

Mr Newman said that
