Broker satisfaction with insurers remains high, survey says

Broker satisfaction with insurers has remained stable over the past five years and seen an increase for commercial lines, according to an annual survey carried out by General Insurance Market Research within Aura (Gimra).

The 2011 survey, conducted over the phone by Harris Interactive on behalf of Gimra, requires over 700 brokers to rate 13 of the UK's leading insurers.

It was found that 81% of respondents are satisfied, and that 77% are satisfied with commercial lines insurers, up 3% from 2010's result.

The results also revealed that the areas in which brokers believe insurers could most improve are competitive premiums, flexibility of underwriting and flexibility at renewal.
