XL appoints ex-Chartis commercial lines chief

XL Group has appointed Jason Harris as chief executive of its international property and casualty insurance business.

Reporting to Greg Hendrick, CEO of XL’s insurance segment, Mr Harris will become a member of the executive board and will be based in London.

He comes from Chartis Insurance, where he has worked for the last six years, most recently as executive director, commercial lines for the UK and prior to this Mr Harris spent 10 years with Chubb.

Mr Hendrick commented: "Jason will play a critical role in continuing our momentum in the international region, where we are looking to consolidate and expand
