Biba wants more recognition of brokers' value
The British Insurance Brokers’ Association (Biba) has said that there must be more recognition of the contribution brokers make to the UK economy.
Speaking at the parliamentary reception marking the merger of Biba and the Institute of Insurance Brokers, Eric Galbraith, chief executive of Biba, said: “We need more promotion of the sector and the value that we bring.
“This government is all about growth (in the economy) and if you’re going to grow, you need protection for it.”
Mr Galbraith added that regulation issues remained “top of the list” of Biba’s concerns going into 2012: “The regulator must be quicker in future to both spot and take
