Hiscox questions Bluefin impartiality as it cancels agency

Hiscox has cancelled its agency agreement with Bluefin and called into question the Axa-owned broker's independence.

Ross Dingwall, sales director at Hiscox, told Insurance Age: "This was not a decision that was taken lightly and one that we have rarely, if ever, made with any other broker.

"For some time we have been concerned about their apparent lack of independence and little support for the Hiscox account. There also seems to us to be a lack of impartiality between Bluefin and their parent company."
