OFT pushes for PMI clarity
The Office of Fair Trading (OFT) has been forced to take action to promote transparency and comparability in the private healthcare market.
In the latest update of its ongoing market study, the watchdog said it believed that private healthcare may not be working well for consumers with regard to the lack of easily comparable information on the quality and price of different providers and consultants.
It has decided to hold two roundtables with "a range of stakeholders" in early September to address the issue further.
