McMillan wants clear water between Aviva and competition

Mr McMillan said he wanted to make it clear to brokers that the Aviva was absolutely open for business.

Speaking to Insurance Age after the release of Aviva's half year results, Mr McMillan said that he had seen a real energy behind Aviva's corporate risk and specialty business and that the insurer would be extending its appetite here further.

He continued: "Aviva wants to grow its UK GI business. We are the market leader but we want to put clear water between us and our competitors. Growth has to happen but only in a profitable manner. We want to grow our market presence but we won't be chasing

Aviva doubling down for customers, says Martin

Aviva is committed to pushing on with an “absolute focus on customer” and will continue “doubling down”, David Martin, managing director for UK commercial and chief distribution officer, told Insurance Age as he teased a “major new proposition” pencilled in for the end of the third quarter will catch brokers’ eyes.
