Sean Genden appointed CEO of Travelers Europe

Travelers has named Sean Genden as chief executive officer for Travelers Europe. The provider said his appointment was designed to support its strategic and growth initiatives in the European property and casualty market.

Mr Genden, who was previously chief operating officer of Travelers Europe, will take overall responsibility in the UK and Ireland for both Travelers Insurance and the insurer's Lloyd's of London operation Travelers Syndicate Management with immediate effect.

He will report to Kevin Smith, president - international, who is responsible for the company's operations in the UK, Ireland, Canada and emerging markets and be based in London.
