Capita buys insurance scheme provider National Dental Plan
The Capita Group has acquired the National Dental Plan (NDP) group of companies for a cash consideration of £30m on a cash-free, debt-free basis.
Capita said NDP provides corporate dental plans and operates some of the biggest dental insurance schemes in the country, designing, distributing, arranging underwriting for and administering dental insurance policies to more than 300 clients, representing 120,000 underlying insured members. Customers include Lloyds Banking Group, HSBC and BT.
NDP, which has about 20 London-based staff, made a consolidated operating profit for its financial year to 31 March 2010 of £4.1m on turnover of £13.4m.
