Quinn staff to shortly find out fate

Employees at Quinn Insurance are expected to learn if they face redundancy on Friday.

Following an assessment on the impact on business and staffing levels, joint administrators Michael McAteer and Paul McCann, of Grant Thornton, have said they will update workers at the end of this week but have warned that, "regrettably we will be unable to continue as we are".

The message comes a month after employees first learned that the company was in severe difficulties.

Quinn Group's PR officer, Mona Bermingham, said it does now "clearly signify the start of the redundancy process".
