Carter to head up new joint Fortis and Tesco venture
Fortis Insurance UK and Tesco Bank have unveiled the structure of their general insurance partnership.
The new insurance company, which will be named Tesco Underwriting (TU) subject to FSA approval and registration, will provide technical underwriting and claims management for Tesco Bank’s 1.5 million motor and home insurance customers and will start managing new customers and renewals by the end of the year.
Tesco Bank will be responsible for customer strategy including sales and service call centres, retail pricing, marketing and proposition development. Fortis will provide underwriting and
