Mutual to sell policies via brokers for first time

Mutual Benenden Healthcare Society plans to sell its policies via intermediaries for the first time as it aims to increase its share of the market.

York-based Benenden, which has almost one million members, said it is in talks with several high-profile brokers and has already signed a distribution agreement with employee benefits expert Redbourne. Benenden’s plans are available to individuals or through group schemes.

Brokers upbeat on 2024 growth – Aviva

Brokers are more optimistic about growth in the coming year than they have been since before 2020, according to Aviva, with 83% expecting their business to grow compared to 76% last year.
