Biba gears up for challenge in 2010 with 'packed' manifesto

Trade body focussing on 'signposting' to generate business for members

Graeme Trudgill, technical and corporate affairs executive at the British Insurance Brokers' Association (Biba), has described its 2010 manifesto as the "most packed, exciting and challenging yet".

For the first time, the trade body has identified signposting, in which relevant bodies direct customers requiring insurance advice to a broker, as a key issue.

Mr Trudgill said that 160 organisations directed their more difficult risks to Biba members and that this equated to 340,000 enquiries in
