Aviva and Barclays extend contract

Igal Mayer, chief executive, Aviva UK general insurance, said the company is delighted with the deal

Barclays has announced the renewal of an existing contract for Aviva to continue to be the sole provider of home insurance to its UK retail banking customers until 2015.

The insurer’s previous multi-million pound contract with Barclays was announced in 2005.
