Barry Smith, Fortis UK CEO, said the broker channel was central to its strategy

Fortis UK’s CEO said the insurer remained committed to building its broker proposition.

Speaking to Insurance Age after the company announced its half yearly results, Barry Smith said Fortis UK had plans in the pipeline for more products and was also investing heavily in electronic platforms to make it easier for brokers to do business with them.

Mr Smith said: “The broker channel is central to our strategy, it always has been and will continue to be so.”
