L&G aim to be principals
Insurer Legal & General (L&G) was one of the first insurers to confirm that it will apply for 'principal' status ahead of the new regulatory regime under the Financial Services Authority (FSA) from 14 January 2005.
By seeking principal status, L&G will be able to take on full responsibility for any brokers who wish to be become appointed representatives rather than apply to be regulated directly with the FSA.
