Norwich Union (NU) has claimed that its service to brokers will not be affected despite the insurer's decision to cut 4,000 jobs across the UK by 2007 in an annual cost-saving initiative.

In total, 250 broker-related jobs have been slashed, however, this should give brokers "no cause to worry", according to George Berrie, director of trading at NU.
