Standard & Poor's has affirmed its ratings of the main Aviva operating subsidiaries as 'AA/AA-' ('very strong'). The group rating continues to be 'AA-', with a stable outlook reflecting the continued performance of the Aviva group. Philip Scott, Aviva chief financial officer, said: "We are delighted that the ratings agency has affirmed our 'very strong' financial strength with a stable outlook. We believe this reflects our strong capital position as recently announced in our third quarter
