John Tiner announces step down

John Tiner, ceo of the Financial Services Authority (FSA), has announced that he intends to step down later this year. Mr Tiner joined the FSA in April 2001 as managing director of the consumer, investment and insurance directorate. He was appointed ceo in 2003, and before this spent 25 years at Arthur Anderson.
